1. Acceptance of Terms

By using FrigoTechPro (hereinafter "the Service"), you agree to these terms of use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

FrigoTechPro is a web-based management application for refrigeration professionals (HVAC-R). The Service provides work order management, invoicing, work order report generation, and access to technical reference materials.

3. Registration and Account

• You must provide accurate information when registering.
• You are responsible for keeping your password confidential.
• You must be at least 18 years old to create a paid account. Students may create a free student account; for users under 14 years old, parental consent is required under Quebec Law 25.
• FrigoTechPro reserves the right to refuse or deactivate an account at its discretion.

4. Plans and Payment

• Technician: $79/month — individual use.
• Business: $159/month — unlimited technicians.
• Student: free — access to educational and technical reference tools for refrigeration students.

Paid plan prices are displayed in Canadian dollars and do not include applicable taxes. Taxes are calculated by Stripe based on the billing address and applicable tax rules. Paid plans are billed monthly. You may cancel at any time — access remains active until the end of the paid period. The free student account does not require a monthly payment.

5. Your Data and Privacy

• Your data (clients, work orders, invoices, messages, submissions) belongs to you.
• FrigoTechPro does not sell, share, or use your data for commercial purposes.
• You may export all your data in PDF format at any time from My Profile (right to portability — Law 25).
• You may delete your account and all your data at any time from My Profile (right to erasure — Law 25).
• FrigoTechPro performs regular backups but does not guarantee data recovery in the event of data loss.

5.1 Security and Encryption

• All communications are encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.
• Passwords are hashed with bcrypt (irreversible).
• Sensitive data is protected by encryption.
• Sessions use secure cookies (HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite).
• Advanced security headers are applied (HSTS, CSP, X-Frame-Options).
• Brute force attack and spam protection is in place.

5.2 Quebec Law 25 Compliance

FrigoTechPro complies with Quebec's Law 25 on personal information protection:

• Explicit consent required before any data collection.
• Automatic data retention policy.
• Personal data access logging.
• Confidentiality incident registry.
• Each user sees only their own data (role-based isolation).

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to:

• Use the Service only for legitimate professional purposes.
• Not attempt to access other users' data.
• Not use the Service for illegal activities.
• Not attempt to circumvent security measures.

7. Intellectual Property

The source code, design, text, and technical reference content of FrigoTechPro are protected by Canadian copyright law. Any reproduction, modification, or redistribution is prohibited without written authorization.

8. Limitation of Liability

• FrigoTechPro is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind.
• FrigoTechPro is not liable for data loss, service interruptions, or indirect damages.
• FrigoTechPro is not liable for errors in generated invoices — the user must verify all documents before sending.

9. Service Availability

FrigoTechPro strives to keep the Service available 24/7. However, interruptions may occur due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. No compensation is offered for service interruptions.

10. Changes to These Terms

FrigoTechPro reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes. Continued use of the Service after modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. FrigoTechPro may deactivate an account in the event of a violation of these terms. When you delete your account, your data and your clients' data are permanently and immediately erased from our systems (cancellation of any active subscription is included). Only data we are legally required to keep (e.g., invoices, for 7 years for tax purposes) is retained for the required period.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and applicable federal laws of Canada. Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts of the judicial district of Quebec City.
